When visiting or using the features and services offered at www.biglakechamber.com (the “Website”) provided by the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we may request and/or otherwise collect certain information from you. This Privacy Policy describes what information about your business and other information that may be collected by us and how we use and disclose such information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected on-line through this Website.
Information We Collect
- Navigational Information
We may gather navigational information during each user’s visit to the Website. In the process of gathering navigational information, non-personally identifiable information (e.g., domain type, browser version, service provider and IP address) may be collected. We have a third party relationship with our credit card processing companies. Our contract with these companies requires them to comply with Minnesota law concerning the safeguarding of personal information, and prohibit them from using personal information except for the purpose of providing processing services.

Member listings are available on our website by accessing the member directory. Information made available on the member directory (including any personal and/or other contact information) may be accessed, viewed and downloaded by the public. This information is published as a member benefit and is provided by individual members. It is the responsibility of the members to keep this information up-to-date.
In addition, we may use third parties to provide specific services and to assist us with this Website. Some examples of the services and assistance that may be provided by third party service providers are: maintaining and hosting the Website; monitoring and analyzing site activity, your actions in response to our emails and the effectiveness of our advertising; and administering emails and chat. If you attend a Chamber event, or supply us with your postal address, phone number, or email address, you may receive periodic communications from the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce via the same medium. The communications will provide information on services available, policy positions or upcoming events.
If you do not wish to receive such communications from the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce, please reply asking us to remove you from our lists and we will comply. Be sure to type the phrase “Opt Out” in the subject header field.
Event Registration Terms and Conditions
In consideration of being allowed to register for this event, and any related events and activities (collectively, the “Event”), I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that: (i) I knowingly and freely assume all risks associated with my participation in the Event, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; (ii) I willingly agree to comply with the terms and conditions for participation; (iii) if I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and (iv) I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”), its officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsors and advertisers (collectively “Releasees”) from any and all claims, demands, losses and liability arising out of or related to any personal injury, disability or death I may suffer, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Participants may be photographed and/or recorded for the documentary or promotional purposes of Chamber. Payment to the Chamber (including use of coupons) constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. I have read this release of liability, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by agreeing to these terms, and hereby agree freely and voluntarily without any inducement.

Security
You will have the ability to select and use a password to help prevent the unauthorized access of your member account information by others. The security of your personal information depends on your protection of your member account password. Please do not disclose your member account password to unauthorized people.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting revisions on our Website. Should there be a material change to our information collection and use practices, it will be applied only to information collected on a going-forward basis.
Refund/Return Policy
The Big Lake Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.
If BLCC cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.
Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, BLCC has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
Please note: Outdoor Events are considered ‘Rain or Shine’ and shall not be eligible for refunds.
Registration Cancellation by Participant
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 7 business days before the event.
Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund.
Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder.
Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number.
Refunds will be issued by check to original payee.
These above policies apply to all BLCC Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
